Anne and Peter Robinson started Dorchester Cycles in 1988 in what is now Robert Prowse’s television shop. It wasn’t long before the shop was groaning at the seams with bicycles and accessories! So in 1991 we moved 2 doors down to where we are now, lots more room! We now have 4000 square feet dedicated to all things cycling.

As you enter the shop you will see our great selection of bicycles. We stock Trek, Giant, and Raleigh mountain, road, hybrid and children’s cycles. These brands are at the forefront of modern cycling technology, ensuring that the bicycle you ride is safe, handles well and is a joy to own.

We also stock folding bikes from Brompton, Giant and Raleigh. With increased concern over congestion on our roads and climate change we are selling increasing numbers of these bikes. Just fold it up and hop on the bus or train!

If you struggle with cycling then why not try out an electric bike? We stock the Giant and Trek range of electric bikes, with prices from £1200. With modern Lithium Ion battery technology and high quality electronics these bikes can give you a range of between 40 and 80 miles (depending on the model).

Upstairs we have one of the largest selections of cycling accessories, clothing, spare parts, helmets, shoes, gloves and components on the south coast! With brands such as Trek, Shimano, Foska, Hope, SRAM, Abus, Rockshox, Bontrager, Altura, Raleigh, Sigma, Cateye, Bell and Giro helmets, Camelbak, Avenir, Titec, Kryptonite and much, much more.

We now have a large servicing department that you can view on our cycle floor. We can handle almost any repair to your cycle and we pride ourselves on our quality of service, our friendly knowledgeable staff and the back up that we provide to our customers.
